At Presnell’s Produce, we believe a bakery should be more than a place to buy bread—it should be a place where you can taste tradition. We don’t open boxes of frozen dough. We crack eggs, sift flour, and knead dough by hand every single morning.

Our baked goods are made in store with Amish butter
We bake exclusively with Amish Butter, which we also carry right here in our store. Sourced directly from Amish communities, this butter has a higher butterfat content than standard grocery store sticks. It’s creamier, richer, and cleaner. We use it in our muffins, cookies, and cakes because it simply makes baked goods taste the way they should.
Baked with the seasons
Because we are first and foremost a produce market, our bakery follows the rhythm of the Carolina seasons. When the harvest comes in, it goes straight into our mixing bowls.
- Candy Roaster Pie: A mountain tradition you won’t find in grocery store chains. Made from heirloom squash, these pies are creamier and sweeter than any pumpkin pie you’ve ever tasted.
- Fresh Rhubarb Favorites: When the Rhubarb arrives in the spring, we get to work on our tart tarts and famous Strawberry-Rhubarb fried pies.
- Year-Round Seasonal Rotations: From Strawberry Shortcakes in the spring and Peach Cobblers in the summer to Spiced Apple Cakes in the fall and Pumpkin Pies in the winter.

Got a Birthday, Anniversary, or Sunday Dinner coming up? We love being part of your celebrations. If you need a specific cake, a large batch of cookies, or a specialty bread, give us a call! We bake made-to-order requests to ensure your dessert is as fresh as possible.
